Lesson Plan Revisions
9/16/09
I will make a change in the lesson plans to help Thursdays run a little smoother.
Let’s try not having a handwriting page on Thursday since your child does do handwriting when he/she writes the facts for the history project.
Therefore, please make these corrections on your lesson plans.
Handwriting:
Sept. 17 – No handwriting
Sept. 18 - p. 31
Sept. 21 – p. 32
Sept. 22 – p. 33
Sept. 23 – p. 34
Sept. 24 – No handwriting
Sept. 25 - p. 35
Let me know how this works for you.
Also, it may work better if you find a fact for the person or event as you are reading the history pages. Therefore, you will be reviewing after you read a few pages instead of trying to read the whole chapter and then going back to review. You can divide your reading between Tuesday and Thursday just as long as your fold-it project is complete and ready to turn in on Friday. For instance, you may want to read the pages that cover the first 2 persons or events and find a fact about each one on Tuesday. Then on Thursday finish the reading, find a fact about the last person or event and then work on your fold-it.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks for all your hard work.
